Live Facial Recognition Operation

Yesterday a live facial recognition operation was held on Ladbroke Grove.  This resulted in two arrests of people who were outstanding for offences. One who had evaded custody since 2023.

This is how it works,

👉 Cameras scan faces in real time
👉 Software turns faces into biometric data
👉 That data is compared to a police watchlist
👉 Alerts go to officers if there’s a match
👉 Officers decide what action to take

These operations are going on across London almost every day of the week and continue to assist officers to locate outstanding suspects, in turn keep the community safe. We are likely to see these operations on a monthly basis on the brough in different locations.
